I was in Shanghai March 28, 2002 - March 31. I was running non-stop from the time I left the plane . There was so much to see and do in the short amount of time I had , I don't know how my body fought off the sleep deprivation but it did. There was so much to do in the day and evening, who had time for sleep. Here is Nanging Road the 5th ave. of Shanghai. The picture is a little blurry ( My Sony PC5 takes great videos but the stills aren't that sharp) but you get the idea. NEON EVERYWHERE ! In beautiful colors and movements. The strange thing for an American to see was the neon lamposts of Pepsi signs lining the road toward The Bund. There were many many illuminated Pepsi logos shining their Capitalist Sell along the walk. |
