My wife and I spent a week in Uruguay in November 2005. It was our first trip to South America (and the first trip south of the equator for both of us). It was a manageable size to see in a week, and features two things I love: wine and beef! Best of all, we met some of the friendliest people in the world, including two VT members who really enriched our time there.
