My very first visit to Aragón was back in 2006, when I first visited Spain. I worked one month in Madrid and then I still had 15 days left to see more of Spain before going back home. I got to Zaragoza more on coincidence, I didn't really plan to visit it. A day before visiting it I was in Vitoria (Basque Country) and I had to be in Barcelona few days later as I had flight back home from El Prat Airport.
So, In Vitoria bus station I had to look for tickets in direction towards Barcelona, so in the end I decided to go to Zaragoza. And I don't regret it! The city is just lovely!
The second time I visited Aragón was in the end of 2007 when I did a roadtrip with my parents. I was studying in Valladolid (Castilla y León) that year and my parents visited me. We met in Girona (Catalunya), rented a car and did 2400 km in a week. In the first days we crossed all Pyrenees from the East Coast (L'Escala) to the West Coast (San Sebastián). On the way we also passed the community of Aragón, stopping in Broto.
The third time (and I hope NOT the last time) I was in Aragón in October of 2008 on my way to Santiago de Compostela. My dad and I started the St James pilgrimage in Lourdes (France) and entering to Spain in Somport meaned as well entering to Aragón. We passed many beautiful villages and saw nice landscape on our way in Aragón. Really nice community, I highly recommend it to visit, if you like nature, tradition and peace.
