"...Poprad..." Poprad by KiNyA

Poprad Travel Guide: 50 reviews and 150 photos

Despite a bit of Spis architecture and a cantral square that's cheerful at the end of the day, Poprad is not a place to go out of your way visiting. However, it's a handy gateaway to the High Tatras, a source of provisions at ordinary Slovak prices.

In the middle of namestie svateho Egidia are two churshes, one sporting Spis-style 'gablets'. Natural history, town history and ethnography feature at the Tatra Region Museum (Podtatranske muzeum) on Vajanskeho.

Lovely little page about Poprad. We once stayed there for a few days and I even drank a Tatran beer, although didn't get to see the brewery.

I thought Poprad was really pretty in the centre, but couldn't find that restaurant- Terasa Reduta.

I liked palacinki there (with Zlaty Bazant) a lot! Thanks for shopping tip - I will see when I go there again!
