"A brief look at paradise" Antarctica by K1W1

Looking for something really different - look no further than a cruise down to the 7th continent. It's truely unforgettable.
I travelled down to the peninsular in the summer of 2000 - 2001 on the Russian ship 'Orlova'. We had very calm sailing conditions and the weather, like everything else on the trip was fantastic.
Unfortunately the scanning takes a while (I intend to get a negative scanner when I finish my current trip), so here are just a few shots of my trip to entice those who're thinking of visiting.
All photos are taken by me and unless otherwise marked, are copyright. Please do not use without permission. Thanks

Wow, simply stunning photographs. You are very lucky to have experienced this trip of a lifetime, thanks for sharing!
Out of this world! Your iceberg photos take my breath away... they look other-worldly, like a stage set. Superb.
Anyone that has an Antartica page gets my nod just for having been there. Your pictures of animals and bergs are just beautiful.
What a great page !! Antarctica is also on my list - for one day :-) Thanks for sharing these excellent pictures - I laughed myself to death reading your penguin story in Must-Sees :-)
