St. Petersberg would have to be one of the most fascinating cities I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I am usually bored of cities after a couple of days at the most. I was in St. Petersberg for over 2 weeks and I still wasn't too happy to leave. This was after my first visit back in 2001.

I returned again in 2004, and my opinion of the city remains very high.
The history, palaces, culture, scenery and people make this a very interesting and unique city. I hope to be back again some day.

A great way to see the city is just to get out an walk around. Best times for photos are obviously when the sun is just up or just about to go down - fortuntately these times are good for avoiding people in your photos, as there's not so many about. The summer evenings here can be very pleasant, and are often the best times of the day to be out and about.
