Japan has always been a place I have looked forward to visiting. The image of temples, shrines, raked stone gardens, sushi, and the people who perfected bowing and couteous behaviour.
I have not been disappointed.
I hope that I can help pass on my enthusiam for this country in the pages that follow.

The Japanese gardens are quite unique in that they have perfected an art for raking pebble gardens between the greenery. Many have designs and patterns relating to various scenes or times. For example, in autumn, the maple leaf is very prominent because of it's amazing colours.
Much time is spent is getting the gardens just right.
Osaka is a city where, as is typical in Japan, the old meets the new. Japanese cities typically are busy places but it is usually possible to escape the crowds if you're determined enough. The cities, as in most modern countries, often look better at night when the lights turn the dull concrete and steel skyscrapers into festive-looking structures.

sumo is a great sport and i'd love to see it live! thanks for this tip!
Well, you have made a good start on your page, and you have put up accurate and helpful tips. The ATM warning is very important. However, even if you can't withdraw money from a machine, you can always do it from the bank office. Gambatte ne! cheers
