No, I have not really visited London or any other city in Great Britain. I did, however, fly from the U. S. through Heathrow on my way to and from Amsterdam. And I did get a sample of English service aboard the British Airways flights I was on. All in all, my first experience in British "territory" was quite a pleasant one. I can't wait to return and stay awhile to visit. |
Christmastime in London I finally got the chance to visit London and at a great time of the year at that. I spent a day and a half in London just before Christmas this year on my way up to the Yorkshires to celebrate Christmas with family.
The Big Bus was my best bet for such a short, first-time visit. I took advantage of the hop-on/hop-off feature to walk around the festive streets of the city. Unfortunately, I could not complete the entire circuit of the Bus route for lack of time. I shall surely return in 2004 to see more. |
