George Washington Bridge from Riverside Park

That just sounds so unoriginal, it's true...

...but my gosh, what a great time I had! A few people have asked me if I could imagine living in New York City, and I really don't know.

I went to New York to visit with a friend from High School who now lives there, in Washington Heights. It had been nearly a decade since we'd last seen each other, but we'd been very close since we met.

When I got there, we hugged and it was like a warm bath. If you don't know the feeling of which I write, I hope that you do some day.

Go, Go, Go!

Should I take a nap now? Nahhhh.

New York is FULL of energy. I got there at 6:30am on Thursday and left at 2pm on Sunday. Not a day went by that I went to bed earlier than 3am, and woke up later than 9:30am. We'd generally be out the door for the day's activities by 11am. Even though we were so completely active, I wasn't as tired as one would hope, and returned home completely energized.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Energetic, activities galore, style, architecture, food, art, performances, great people, beauty
Cons:Expensive, tiny apartments, crazy traffic
In a nutshell:Like no place in the world
