In October of '99, even though I've lived in California all my life, I went to Yosemite for the FIRST time. I had some relatives visiting from South Africa, and my mother and step-father were taking them on a few day trip to this beautiful national park. I, of course, went with them and thought to myself, "Why haven't I been here before? Am I crazy??"
Thankfully, I've been back a couple times now. After all, how can I avoid it? My most recent visit was for my birthday weekend, when my sweetheart took me to stay at the renowned Ahwahnee Lodge. Marvelous!! |
