Fireworks and free concert. 4 PM - 10 PM The date for this year has just been announced, so I don't yet know which bands will be playing. KFOG KaBoom! Schedule* KFOG KaBoom! opens - 4pm 4:30pm - 5:30pm Kathleen Edwards 6:00pm - 7:00pm John Butler Trio 7:40pm - 8:55pm The Wallflowers 9:00pm KFOG KaBoom! Fireworks The event begins at 4 p.m. on San Francisco Piers 30-32, just south of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, with an expo area of food, drinks, interactive sponsor exhibits and continuous performances for families on the Children's Stage. At 4:30 p.m., the free live concert begins with an incredible line-up of talent: The Wallflowers, the John Butler Trio and Kathleen Edwards. The extraordinary fireworks display will cap the event at 9 p.m. KFOG estimates that 350,000 people will be lined up along the Embarcadero Promenade for the show. Spectators are encouraged to bring their radios and tune into the soundtrack simulcast on KFOG 104.5\97.7. More than seven tons of explosives are used in the fireworks display created by Pyrotechnic Choreographer Eric Tucker. The fireworks show - which takes a five full days to set up on a group of barges the size of a football field - will be fired from San Francisco Bay, just off Piers 30-32

The Palace of Legion of Honor is a somewhat small, but wonderful museum. They have an extensive Rodin collection and are home to the more classic art collections. They usually share this honor with the DeYoung Museum, however the DeYoung was closed down after the 1989 earthquake and its new home is being built. This photo is taken from the parking lot of the museum, looking towards the Pacific Ocean.

Mrs. Sprekles gave the city and residents of San Franicso a huge gift in the early 1900s when she gave us the building that was to become the Palace of Legion of Honor. This building houses the most extensive collection of Rodin sculptures outside of the Musee Rodin in Paris. For me, that's reason enough for membership in this fine art gem. Also included are works by such masters as Monet, Renoir, Picasso, Matisse and many, many more, as well as a small be gorgeous collection of antiquities from Greece and Egypt.

The windmill at Ocean Beach during a winter storm. The windmills were originally built to help pump water to the lakes and to irrigate the vast Golden Gate park. I've never seen them turning, so I suspect they're more scenery than functional anymore, but I do love to see them. There's also a beautiful tulip garden near the foot of the Northern windmill.

Of course you must go across the Golden Gate Bridge. If you come here in the Summer, you will probably not see the bridge towers, however, as they are usually shrouded in fog during the Summer months. To see the bridge clearly, come here in early Spring or early Autumn.

Sea Cliff is a beautiful neighborhood in San Francisco. Filled with beautiful homes, Sea Cliff is bordered on one side by the Richmond District and the Pacific Ocean on the other. The views from this neighborhood are some of the most spectacular to be found.

The beautiful homes with the manicured lawns, no debris in the street. Only nice cars allowed to live here! Tour buses are not allowed on these streets either.
