"Tiny town along the Sonoma Coastline" Gualala by jessicadf
Gualala Travel Guide: 16 reviews and 15 photos
For my birthday this year, I was told by my sweet, sweet honey, "Don't make any plans. I'll take care of it all." Boy, he wasn't kidding!
In deference to our wish to make our specific destination a special place between us, I won't say where, exactly, we stayed on this trip. I will, instead, just describe the trip and a point along the way -- Gualala.
Locals pronounce this town, "Wah-lah-lah," -- the G is pronounced like a W.
- Pros:Tiny and out of the way
- Cons:I have no idea
- In a nutshell:A lovely place to visit

I think the Porsche would be the only way to see this part of California!
Gualala is a wonderful place and fun to say. Sounds like you had a marvelous time. Don't you just LOVE meteor showers? Kat
I didn't find seals flirted there. Should I come back?
Funny - I just happened to be looking at your Gualala page before you posted your note. I love Gualala! Such a pretty, peaceful town. It has some great little antique and gift shops, too!

Deeply meaningful to me as well (for different reasons). My uncle served on the USS Gualala in WWII (named for an Indian river in California!)

Totally off the beaten path! Must have been romantic!
