A beautiful wine town along the Rhine

Our stay in Bingen consisted of one evening and one early morning. We met my father at a concert in Sankt Goarhausen and then, after the show, the three of us drove to the hotel where we, and the band, were staying. The reason for staying at this hotel was that it was the last date of the tour, and the band was flying home to the U.S. the next morning and wanted to be not TOO far from the airport, yet still somewhere beautiful. Bingen certainly fit the bill!

Boy oh boy, you are in the white-wine region of Germany, and you do not stop for wine? The beer is good too though.
