In 1994, I visited Bombay for a good friend's Sikh wedding. We visited Bombay for a few days, then traveled to New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, and then back to Bombay for the 4 days of wedding. What an amazing trip... I was tired of Indian and Chinese food for six months after the trip, and I was exhausted when I returned home (after nearly 3 weeks), but I'll gladly go back again some day.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Ancient culture, warm and welcoming people, sights, sounds, ancient mysteries
Cons:Poverty, shots required
In a nutshell:An amazing destination. Either you will love it or hate it. I love it.

Jessica, It is now Rs. 3,500 per night $80 a night but still a fantastic value for the accommodation, facilities and location.

The "Guru" used to have a hut next to a temple inside the forest but the gurus used to use the place to smoke pot and the cops raided the place and shut down the place.
