Key West is still in the US but it has a lay back atmosfere. Ok it is a touristic place to the extreme but that's now wonder with the history it has and the possibilities it offers.
I have been here a few times and i still like it not to be here for a week but just 2 or three nights and then go one with the rest of my trip.
In 2007 i have been to the Dry Tortugas it's a 70 mile boat or if your in a hurry a waterplane trip.
This year we went there again but now on a half day charter of Danger, it was a very succesfull trip consisting of sailing, snorkeling and kayaking out of the Key west coast.

|  | And then there where three.... In 2003, there where 3 ships in the harbour of Key West....and it wasn't possible to take a picture of all three of them in one shot from the shore....
So we took a boat trip to take this picture....
It wasn't a very warm day but just comfortable...certainly when heading out in the sea on the boat....on our way back it was much cooler and breezier....

| | Bars, Bars and souvenir shops Thats about what you're going to get when visit the center of Key West. Sloppy Joes is one of the more famous bars, strange enough we never have been inside the bar itself.. As you can see if you go early like us streets are kinda empty..but on this day in the afternoon 3 cruiseships changed this completly

the gas prices where only 10 to 15 cents more than on the main land. WHY? because gas does not magically teleports! I takes a lot of effort to send the gas all the way there. You are paying extra for the delivery all the way down there, what do u expect? | Cielo_Algaeed Sat Aug 25, 2007 14:12 UTC

My old buddy is the best jazz pianist in Key West. Did you go to Hemingway's house? I recognized the fort on your cover page right away. Glad you enjoyed. |
