Manmade art of nature
In 2002 i used Page to be a resting point, and only stayed one day.. That was our mistake, there's a lot to see and to do he're so we're forced to get back here sometime...
In the short time we visited, i drove around looking voor antelope canyon, while driving around we found the recreational area and decide to sunbath and swim a bit.
On our way back we found the canyons, and visited the lower canyons (after getting money in Page because they didn't accept any kind of credit or debit card).
Maybe next year...

Page has about 6.500 residents, the main source of income is the tourism.
This town is 3,700 feet above sea level and is the gateway to the Glenn Canyon national recreation area.
The summers are extremly hot with maximum temperatures of 110 degrees fahrenheit. Winter temperatures go as low as 0 degrees.
There is almost no rainfall throughout the year (about 6 inches per year).

Page was established in the early
1960's when the Glen Canyon Dam was build. Lake Powell was generated by the building of this dam making the area interesting for tourists.

Thank you for the tips and pictures for the area. I am going in September and look forward to Cathedral Wash for a hike besides that whole area.
I think your wrong. Do come and venture into the Glen Canyon Dam...worth seeing. As for the 11 that perished, they were warned but ventured in anyways.
Great tips and photos here, I can't wait to see it all for myself in a few weeks! Thanks for the great info.
Great page, pictures and nature!
Wow, I didn's know there was anything to see in Page, thanks for sharing.

Very nice page! I like the scenery! Very interesting....Kept up the good work
I wanna see Antelope Canyon! Yep, I saw that on Discovery channel about flooding in the canyon! It's scary but looks exciting to me :-)
Very nice photos, especially the scenic overview logue. At $18, the entrance isn't cheap, eh?
Beautiful photos of Anteloupe Canyon.
