"Espirito Santo" Estado de Espírito Santo by hmoitta

I often go to Vitoria ( Espirito Santo state capital ) for work but in 2003 new year holliday we went to Espirito Santo in an ecotourism tour from Rio to hike.
We stayed 5 days in Espirito Santo mountains, about 8 hrs drive from Rio, in the Domingos Martins area.
We hiked everyday and visited many waterfalls and the Pedra Azul State Park ( photo ). It was really nice to take a natural shower in the waterfalls after hiking.
The food in this region is delicious, it's a mix of italian and 'mineira' food ( from brazilian state Minas Gerais)with local and fresh products, cooked in the traditional way.
