Went to South Africa in December 1998 til mid January 1999--one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. If you ever have the opportunity, it is a definite must-see. I had such a great time, though I wish that I could have stayed longer. I also wish that I had done a little more investigation of things that were available to me...spent too much time lounging at the beach if you can believe that--wish I had taken more time to do more sight seeing. Though I guess that just leaves me with more incentive to make a return visit...and I will someday...hopefully soon! The pics above were taken from the top of Table Mountain--simply UNREAL view--Cape Town is the city below and those wires are from the Cable Car we were riding in. |

Sorry folks, but Cape Point is not the tip of Africa! You need to go to Point Agulhas to claim that feat. About 2 hour drive east of Hermanus. Not much to see there but worth the trip. | pmarshuk Wed Jan 22, 2003 16:15 UTC
