Charles River: Head of the Charles
  • Tip Rating:
  • Perhaps one of the most famous rowing regattas in the US, the Head of the Charles is a great opportunity to not only watch the races but take part in the festivities that surround the area as well.

Things To Do: The Ivy League
  • Tip Rating:
  • Harvard, Boston College, Boston University, MIT...there are so many colleges all on top of one another here. Definitely a must see for anyone looking to attend college soon...Boston College was the first college I ever toured and helped me decide what factors were important when looking at other campuses.

Seaport District: The Boston Children's Museum
  • Tip Rating:
  • I loved this place as a child and made my mom take me there until I was about 13. There are so many different hands-on activities and my fondest memory has to be making my own dradel (excuse spelling). I really don't have a lot of other experience with children's museums, but this one will always be my favorite and is a great place to go if you have little ones.

Museum of Science: Boston Science Museum
  • Tip Rating:
  • Okay, I feel a bit silly recommending this seeing as I have never been there, but hear me out. My older cousin was/is a science freak--loves the stuff (can you say MEGA Star Wars fan). Anyhow, he swears up and down that this place is awesome--even for adults. I was too busy whining about wanting to go to the children's museum that I missed out on this adventure.

Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market: Fennual Hall
  • Tip Rating:
  • This outdoor shopping area is basically one long hall that used to be where trading took place in 'the olden days' and there are all different kinds of merchants. You can find modern stores and lots of hand crafted goods--my mom is a sucker for antique shopping. Not to mention the great food...yummmm...you can easily spend a day just walking around with the locals and doing a little souvenier shopping.
