My first trip to Lawrence, Kansas, was on Valentine's Day 1998--my good friend, Erin was attending Kansas University (KU) to get her masters in phamaceutical chemistry--yep, we're a smart bunch. I since have been there to not only visit her, but watch my alma matter play tennis as my college boyfriend played tennis for Tulsa.
This picture was taken on Valentine's Day 1998--what a great way to celebrate with the one you love!! ;)

The bar is Louise's Downtown, on Mass. St. Louise's is popular on Thursday nights, especially now that they've built that covered porch to accommodate the smoking ban. Louise's is known for its Schooners - the big beer you see in the picture.
