OKLAHOMA--more than tumbleweeds!

by donovanel - last update: Sep 11, 2002

Well don't ask me why, but I went to college in Oklahoma at The University of Tulsa--TU, NOT UT! I was on the rowing team and spent a lovely 4 years at school...hence the picture above (which was actually taken at a regatta in Madison, Wisconsin!) Oklahoma, well at least Tulsa, is surprisingly hot and HUMID in the summer. But my favorite thing has to be the weather--it starts warming up in late February and stays warm until November! It's great!! Tulsa is a nice city, with a decent nightlife. It definitely has the "small town" feeling which can be good or bad depending on the situation! But, Tulsa is a fun place to visit if you are ever in the area--we are just a short drive from Dallas, Kansas City, Memphis, and St. Louis.
