On this page I will tell you a little bit about the places, sights and activities Maastricht is best known for. Oh, because I live here, I don't have any pictures of Maastricht and I got all these pictures from the Internet.

Population: a little over 100,000
History: In approxiamately the year 20 AD, The Romans built the city "Mosa Trajectum" on the crossing of the river Maas, on their way to Aachen. The picture shows what Maastricht must have looked like at that time. |
