View the spectacular Jet d'Eau, the fountain has become the city's symbol. Set a few inches above the surface of the lake, this powerful fountain spurts a plume of shimmering water 460 feet into the air. . Walk along the jetty located adjacent to quai Gustave-Ador towards the fountain; the nearer you walk towards the fountain, you'll feel water sprinkle from the fountain -- wonderful! You can hear the sound of the motor mechanism coming from the powerful fountain!. I understand that it runs from March to mid-October and close during the cold winter months.
