My visit to Lausanne was only for 2 hours while we were in Montreux. The train from Montreux to Lausanne passes through many small towns with beautiful scenery and the Lake Geneva. You're able to enjoy the charming view along the way - better still if you're seated near the window (but aisle seat's visible too, the train windows are pretty large enough). This was simply an enjoyable journey. I didnt see as much in Lausanne, but I must add that Lausanne is a very quaint city as well, kind of laid-back too. Just go on foot to explore Lausanne's Old Town (The Cité).
