Milan or Milano is the most progressive of all Italian cities. Well known for her sophistication in world fashion industry, powerful banking industry, ohh a high-tech city (no doubt about it!!). Despite all this, I didn’t have much fond memories of Milano I’m afraid. Its difficult to appreciate what Milano could offer, when all of our visits were made in such a hurry because we felt unsafe here.. On three separate incidences on our first day in Milan – first we were harassed by a drunkard man while having our breakfast at a side-walk restaurant, on second instance we were stalked by a man (we were running for our life to our hotel situated close by). On third instance while walking (we were very cautious after the earlier incidences) along via Dante, one of my travel partner started to shriek, two lady beggars started pulling my friend’s backpack. We became so scared by then, my friend struggled to free her backpack and later three of us ran as fast as we could towards the castle which is nearing. Yeah, upon reaching Sforza Castle . . guess? arghh, more beggars and child beggars! With no trouble we ignored them and hurried our visit at the castle. Only our first day here (we stayed for two nights), my guts were already dampened . . How we spent our second day? We escaped to Lucerne (Switzerland) which is only about 4hours by train from Milan ** sorry Milano, I didn't mean to betray you . . **
