My husband and I decided to take a day-trip to Luxembourg in late 2001 in the vain attempt to find the elusive Luxembourg Franc. We were scheduled to leave for Paris on December 28th, so by the time we decided to go, we had, well, one day to do it before the Euro went into circulation. After spending an hour or so wandering around Luxembourg City we found our way to the Luxembourg American Cemetery. My husband's idol, General George S. Patton Jr., is buried there. To see the cemetery was well worth the trip. |
