My husband and I are not German, but we live about 11km from Wurzburg. We love to look around here and learn about our German neighbors and culture. When the weather is nice (or not so nice) and we both have the time, we enjoy volksmarching. We really consider ourselves blessed to live in such a wonderful place with people who are so welcoming. Wurzburg is situated on the Main River and has the imposing Marienberg Fortress looking down on it. Downtown is full of both historical buildings and modern department stores. I could sit and people-watch for hours! |
