Plants will be introduced little by little according to available time.
I invite you here to a trip in the local flora…
Trying to do it in an attractive way:
not easy because botany can be specially boring!
Neither something scientific, nor an exhaustive inventory that would lead to more than 500 plants and 2000 pics. Don’t want to overload VT…!
Only those who have something to tell are shown.
Well… all plants have something to tell if you know how to listen to them.
But some have more.
In the “Must see” tips are plants that are most impressive for a reason or another…
In the “Warning and danger” tips, you’ll find dangerous plants…
The “General” tips should be devoted to plants related to literature or poetry because books always are a major part of my luggage. Also legends when necessary and if there is space enough...
In the “Tourist trap” tips, you’ll find treacherous and inventive plants…
In the “Local customs” tips, plants that are or have been symbols at a period or another, or plants who had a specific use around here…
For every plant are shortly mentioned the scientific, English, French, German, and Dutch names, together with environment where they use to grow and peculiarities.
- Pros:Forget grey cities...
- Cons:Know what you chew when walking in the countryside...!
- In a nutshell:Look around you...

Do you know that you should never make a cradle for a child out of elder wood because the elder hates children?
Terrific! Now, I would be aware of plants I may chew while wandering in fields and meadows... Je reviendrai...
Bellissime!! Ready to listen to your plants ...
