leaving VT Dear all, I've decided to leave slowly VT. I deleted most of my commentents and picture... The reason? I don't find anymore pleasure discovering destinations through VT... it's polluted by advertisements and proposal for renting, buying.... And, I receive lots of mails proposing me hotels and tickets... all those kind of things ... while I was happy to open my mail bax before seeing that a vt member wrote me... I'm now upset all the time seeing I received 10 mails but all of them to propose me to buy things I never bought this way in my life and that I DON'T WANT. I'm quite sad that this happy site with a friendly community just turned out to be as commercial, and ever more, as any other travel site.
Cheers all and enjoy life

Welcome everybody! Just as an introduction I'd like to warn you, none of my pages are neutral.
I don't mean to play the guide book nor be the someone who-knows-all-about a country. I do experience countries and not only visit. Although I'm a history student, I really get bored when visiting a country only means spending my time in museums and inspecting every grave and every archeologic site.
I like above all meeting interesting people if possible not involved in the touristic industry, feeling at home in the middle of the desert in the Sina as well as in a monastery in Syria, in a poor family in Nicaragua, in a crazy party in Jerusalem or in a friend's family in Morocco. I like taking the pulse of a place and adapting myself but of course without renouncing my personnal principles.
Hoping you'll enjoyed my pages.
See you on VT.
Nadia
