This is a picture of my home town Kuusankoski (borrowed from the website of the city). Not a particularly good picture, but you'll get some idea... It is a quite small city, with about 22 000 people living there. I live and study in Kouvola now, it is a city located next to Kuusankoski and a little bit bigger, but I'd never consider it as my "real" home town.
The nature is beautiful in here. Of course there are the paper mills -spoiling some of the view- but if you walk around there more you will understand what I mean.
And by the way... football player Sami Hyypiä (who plays in England, he's the captain of Liverpool ) was born here! =) |

Wish you a very happy birthday. greetings from Pakistan. | kiely Mon Apr 10, 2006 15:00 UTC I know you might think I'm crazy. But I do love the fact that you get to see so much snow in your hometown!!! | Pounder73 Tue Jun 3, 2003 06:14 UTC My brother and I used to make snow tunnels / caves back East as little-uns. And when it was no longer fun to protect it against imaginary snow-monsters, I would kick my bro out and protect the "cave" against him. |
