On our way to Italy, we spent the night at Altdorf (pop. about 9,000) the capital of the Swiss canton Uri, Friday 18 - Saturday 19 May 2007. In the evening, we did some sightseeing in this town and saw, among other sights, the Wilhelm Tell monument and the main office of the Cantonal Library (Kantonsbibliothek). The mountains here are spectacular!
