I've been to The Hague several times. In 1983 I actually lived there for a while, from October to December, to be precise ; at that time, I had a job there - I worked at the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, the Royal Library of the Netherlands.

On January 24, 2002 we visited The Hague on a kind of business errand: we delivered the literary legacy (o, I like the sound of that!) of the Dutch poet Elisabeth Cheixaou (1907-1997) to the Museum of Literature (Letterkundig Museum). On that occasion, we also visited Kijkduin near The Hague, close to the sea, for a short walk on the beach.

In August 2007, we visited two museums in The Hague, the Prisongate and the exhibition Escher in het Paleis. We also walked through the centre of The Hague to admire some architectural highlights. We used a brochure in Dutch which we'd bought at the Tourist Information Office on the Hofweg entitled "Wandeling langs negen eeuwen Haagse architectuur"
