After a short trip by car from our B&B in Wesenufer we took a boat from Schloegen to Linz on 25 August 2011. See travelogue From Schloegen to Linz by boat.

Visited Hauptplatz, Alter and Neuer Dom, and had a quick glance at the Landhaus. Spent the rest of our short visit to Linz at the LENTOS museum of art, where we admired the permanent collection (a.o. paintings by Sedlacek and Karel Appel) as well as a temporary exhibition by Gilbert & George, entitled Jack Freak Pictures. Our visit took place on one of the hottest days of the year, with temperatures well in excess of 30 degrees C.
