|  | We visited Berlin during Christmas 2007. This is our itinerary for the 26th up to and including the 30th of December, 2007:
Arrival in Berlin in the afternoon, Kurfürstendamm and organ concert in the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche
Day 1: Reichstag and Brandenburger Tor - Unter den Linden - Gendarmenmarkt and Deutscher Dom (lunch) - Checkpoint Charlie - Bebelplatz - Pergamon Museum (Pergamon Altar and Ishtar Gate)
Day 2: Sammlung Berggruen (Picasso and contemporaries) - new wing of Schloss Charlottenburg - SONY Center (lunch) - Altes Museum (Nefertiti)- Alexanderplatz
Day 3: Potsdam with Heiliger See and Park Sanssouci (lunch) - Jüdisches Museum - Berliner Dom (vesper)
Day 4: Oberbaumbrücke and East Side Gallery, Treptower Park and Soviet Memorial (lunch) - Museum Hamburger Bahnhof (Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, Roman Signer)
It all started when Jennie and I discussed the pros and cons of a visit to Berlin during the Xmas holidays. That reminded me of the dozen or so pictures that I took in Berlin back in 1983 ... |
