Frietbox: Frietjes and more Frietbox Review

Fast food restaurant. The staple food in this restaurant is what the Americans call "French fries" and the English "chips", only here - much to our surprise - they're suddenly advertised as original Dutch food or "hollaendische Spezialitaeten, frietjes and more, 20 Saucen for free!" (A quaint combination of German, English and Dutch, if you're asking me ...). Needless to say, we felt very much at home!

Favorite Dish: Frietjes, very generous servings. We tasted none of the extras which include, according to the business cards, Frikandel, chicken nuggets, Fleischkrokette, Kaesesouffle, Haenchenspiess &c

Otto Bittner: Otto Bittner Otto Bittner Review

Otto Bittner is a local "Confiserie - Cafe - Conditorei" that seems to have quite a reputation. It's been around for just about a century (1905). We had Schweizer Toast there, that's toasted bread with cheese and onions, and salad. Be sure to take a seat close to the window. That way you won't have to miss a thing of what's happening at the local bazar just outside the doorstep of this cafe.
