Niagara Falls: You can take a boat ride to...
  • Tip Rating:
  • You can take a boat ride to the base of the falls on the Maid of the Mist. The service runs from April through to October. It costs $12.00 Canadian and lasts about 20 minutes. Despite its extremely touristy nature - I loved it and it's something that should not be missed! At the base of these falls, you really get a feel of the power of this natural wonder! It makes you feel very small!!

  • Tip Rating:
  • The Maid of the Mist boats are a piece of history in themselves. The Maid of the Mist I was launched in the 1840's and used to ferry people accross the border. Once the International Bridge was built, it became purely a sight-seeing vehicle.
