Jillworld's Saudi Arabia Page

by Jillworld - last update: Sep 10, 2002

I wasn't sure if I should include a travel page for Saudi Arabia, as my recollection of time spent there is sparse. Please don't expect anything pertinant to today or informative for your travels - sorry! My family and I lived there for two years, while I was aged 3 to 5 years old. I don't think it was my parent's intention, but I believe this time of my life really developed in me a taste for diversity and a passion for seeing the world. Below are a number of photos that my dad took, along with brief explanations. We have so many other good ones, but they are on slides - if anyone knows of a quick & easy method of getting them formatted for VT viewing, please advise! Hope you enjoy this little trip back in time...

It is funny... I lived there in Riyadh and in Tabuk for 3 years and it really has not changed that much. Thanks for the memories.

Hi Jill Your photo's are lovely and the one with your Mum in her Abbaya completely blacked out is still a common scene today. I am a NZ'er in Saudi and it sure is an interesting experience living here even for an adult! Keep up the great work! ;+)
