At the end of May 2001 I returned to Chicago from a 9-month stay in Europe. I lived in Rome for 7 months, and the last two months I traveled around Spain and France, with a stop in Amsterdam, and came back to visit Italy's "big three" (Venice, Florence, and Rome) with my stepmother and sister. I'm afraid, however, that my info on this website is rather hit-or-miss. Feel free to email me for advice. I am a lifelong Chicagoan and love introducing visitors to the city, which has historically been underrated as a travel destination. But I can tell you that it is as worthy of your attention as Paris, New York, or London.
