BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA.</font>
<font color="blue">People have lived in what is now called Dover since the Stone Age. Rising sea levels have destroyed virtually all remains from this very early era, and just a handful of Stone Age tools and parts of an ancient settlement have been discovered. The first settlements in Dover were made around 6000 years ago by Stone Age people.</font>
