Rising sea levels have destroyed virtually all remains from this very early era, and just a handful of Stone Age tools and parts of an ancient settlement have been discovered. The first settlements in Dover were made around 6000 years ago by Stone Age people.</font>

Great tips. Samphire Hoe is new since I was last in Dover, hopefully I will visit it when I am there later in the year. :-)
