The little town of St. Leo is about 30 minutes north of Tampa along I-75. About the only place of interest for visitors in this tiny community is St. Leo College.
St. Leo College is an old (by Florida standards) Catholic school out in the country. Among the ecclectic classroom buildings are a vaguely Medditerranian-style church and a garden with a small aviary filled with white doves. At the back of the campus is a wide grassy field surrounded by oak trees which slopes gently down to a quiet lake.
Of course, the campus is busy when school is in session. But on weekends and during breaks, it's a great place to picnic or just relax in peaceful surroundings for a little while.

Holy crap! I've done that! When I dated that idiot from Dade City! That's odd that we've both done that.
Lake Jovita Golf course located next to St. Leo's has some beautiful views of the college.
