On the 'old VT' my impressions of Ferrara had to be squeezed into the 'Off the beaten path' sector of Bologna page. Which very nearly broke my heart, for a place as lovely and atmospheric as this Emilia Romagna town should not be off the beaten path in any case! Anyway, the unjustice is fixed now, and I can invite you to my own private Ferrara even more heartily. I hope you feel as comfy here as I did!

Pros and Cons

Pros:small and manageable, spectacular sights, many cultural events, relaxed atmosphere
Cons:hostel with a curfew, lack of parking spaces (as in virtually every old town in Europe!)
In a nutshell:An often overlooked gem which makes you proud about having been there.
