The picture above is of the north end of Canandaigua Lake near the Canandaigua Inn. "Canandaigua" is a Native American name meaning chosen spot or place. When we visited in late December it was definitely a FROZEN spot or place!

The town has a population of over 11,000 located 30 miles southeast of Rochester, NY. It was founded in 1798.
