  • Las Vegas is a very expensive town. Not gambling will save you a bundle. Last trip I gambled and lost $2.50. It would have been $1., but I got bored at the airport :) It's hard to avoid the ubiquitous "slots."

At Least Do This: Set yourself a limit. Mine is usually $2. -- but I was having so much fun doing other stuff I didn't do that much until I got to the airport:)
Alternative: The alternative is to shop -- ooooopppps that's money too :)))) Or just enjoy the craziness of the buildings and the people walking around.

How to Save a $: Very little is cheap in this town ...

  • Many of the shows are wonderful, but they cost an arm and a leg.

At Least Do This: Research the show you want to see carefully before plunking down your $$$$
Alternative: There is a lot of free entertainment around if you look for it. Some of it is found in people-watching. Some can be found in the hotel malls such as the Forum Shops [The Twilight of the Gods], the thunderstorm at Desert Passage and the mimes and singing gondoliers at The Venetian. You don't have to pay for the ride to enjoy their voices!

Nice tips, it looks like the Venetian is a must. It is nice to see someone who isn't afraid to say the Ceasar's Palace is over blown---very helpful, think we will skip that one.
