Las Vegas is a very expensive town. Not gambling will save you a bundle. Last trip I gambled and lost $2.50. It would have been $1., but I got bored at the airport :) It's hard to avoid the ubiquitous "slots."

At Least Do This: Set yourself a limit. Mine is usually $2. -- but I was having so much fun doing other stuff I didn't do that much until I got to the airport:)
Alternative: The alternative is to shop -- ooooopppps that's money too :)))) Or just enjoy the craziness of the buildings and the people walking around.

At Least Do This: Research the show you want to see carefully before plunking down your $$$$
Alternative: There is a lot of free entertainment around if you look for it. Some of it is found in people-watching. Some can be found in the hotel malls such as the Forum Shops [The Twilight of the Gods], the thunderstorm at Desert Passage and the mimes and singing gondoliers at The Venetian. You don't have to pay for the ride to enjoy their voices! . The Venetian calls this shoppertainment
