Bellagio: The Bellagio -- the best in town!!! Compare Rates

  • Las Vegas Bellagio
  • Welcome to Bellagio!!

  • Unique Qualities: I've never stayed in a hotel in Las Vegas until this recent visit -- always with friends -- but from my tour of the strip The Bellagio looked like the only HOTEL, as opposed to a casino with rooms. [I was seriously underwhelmed by Paris, for example] It was light and GORGEOUS!!! Now who will pay the bill for me?
    .
Highlights of the Bellagio public areas include the Dale Chihuly glass ceiling in the lobby area and the beautiful, seasonally changed, gardens just beyond the lobby.
    .
Of the restaurants/bars I'd recommend The Petrossian Bar in the lobby for a great people-watching perch and Olives in the shopping area for a stylish Mediterranean lunch.

The Venetian: Venice here we come!

  • Las Vegas The Venetian
  • A Bella Suite at The Venetian

  • I stayed for one night in one of the hotel's "Bella Suites" -- I think we got upgraded:))) Anyway everything worked well. Despite the stories I had heard about Friday afternoon check-ins the line at the check-in time of 3pm was short. Everything went smoothly. The room was very attractive and very clean. In fact no complaints.
    .
The onsite eating was varied, although we had stale pastries at the Santa Lucia Cafe in the food court. Dinner at Valentino was excellent -- see that tip for more info.

Unique Qualities: All the rooms are suites. The living area is divided from the sleeping area by a railing and 2 steps down. The colored were warm orange-reds and greens with a touch of Tuscan yellow. The toilet is in a separate little room -- one of my fave design features in an upscale hotel. I LOVED the mini-canopy over the bed with a reading light tucked up there. I looked for things to complain about -- hey I owe you folks a REAL review -- but other that a loooong walk from the elevator to the room there were none!

Nice tips, it looks like the Venetian is a must. It is nice to see someone who isn't afraid to say the Ceasar's Palace is over blown---very helpful, think we will skip that one.
