Getting TO/AROUND: Chicago is served by two airports: Midway and O'Hare. Midway has been redone and now is quite a nice place to fly into, particularly since the low-fare airlines tend to use Midaway also!
    .
All international flights [other than some to the Americas] leave and arrive from Terminal 5 at O'Hare. The picture is of Terminal 3 in the American Airlines wing. United occupies Terminal 1 and several airlines share Terminal 2. I think they lost Terminal 4 :)))))

Getting TO/AROUND: Chicago has a passable transportation system -- but in bad weather [or winter -- or both] the sign on this bus would have to be changed:(

Getting TO/AROUND: Chicago's elevated trains are part of its history and its present. The "Loop" gets it's name from the elevated platforms that "loop" around the center of the business district.

Getting TO/AROUND: The first elevated train in Chicago was opened in 1888. The separate lines were unified in 1911-13. The rumble of the "L" train overhead is part of the Chicago experience for sure!

Getting TO/AROUND: The Wendella boats are a part of the Chicago River's history. Founded in 1935 the company has provided tours as well as more basic transportation called the "riverbus" that runs spring-fall Monday through Friday -- a popular option during transit strikes!

Getting TO/AROUND: This is a view looking west on Congress Parkway as it is about to turn into I280/Eienshower Expressway heading for the western suburbs. The signs are for the connections to I90/94 heading north to Wisconsin and south to Indiana.

Was scrolling through your food tips, in case you didn't know Skadarlijia is closed, replaced by yet another Mexican restaurant :-( Let me know if you find another good Serbian place, Simplon also bit the dust several years ago...
