The good news is that Chicago had the courage to comission a new bandshell designed by Frank Gehry. . The bad news is that it was supposed to be the MILLENIUM bandshell. It's 2003 and not done yet! [Not to mention to cost overruns :(] . Welcome to Chicago:(

This is the Chicago mantra -- Chicago weather is very much like the girl in the rhyme: "When she was good she was very very good and when she was bad she was horrid." . Yes it snows. Yes it rains. Yes it gets cold. Yest it gets hot and humid. BUT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WAIT:) Because we're on a lake and change is normal! . Many restaurants and other interesting places are out of the mainstream. Here we are walking north on Franklin Ave. towards the restaurant MK. You can see the building on Michigan Ave in the distance. In the day you will be fine in this area just north of the main gallery area, but at night you might want to use more caution.
