Getting TO/AROUND: We found the Old Town Trolley useful not just as a tour, but as basic transportation -- if you are staying on Coronado Island, as we were, it is cost efficient compared with taking cabs and much more entertaining! . All of the drivers are good -- but Frank has to take the prize for over-the-top looniness.

Getting TO/AROUND: There are two companies that provide harbor tours from the harborfront: Hornblower and Harbor Excursions. We took the latter. . We took the 2 hour tour, which is a comination of the "north" and the "south" tours. Our recommendation? Unless you are REALLY into miltary hardware, just take the south tour.

Getting TO/AROUND: A fun way to get from San Diego to Coronado or the reverse is the Bay Ferry. It's a mini harbor tour for $2.! . Unfortunately it only runs once an hour during daylight. It docks at Ferry Marketplace in Coronado & at the Broadway pier in San Diego. At Broadway pier you can catch the Old Town Trolley, visit the Maritime Museum and SOON visit the aircraft carrier Midway.
