The Theatre in Angers
The main theatre in Angers was rebuilt after a fire in 1869, in the grand style affected by Haussman. It stopped having a resident company in 1972. Now several fine local & regional groups perform there including le Théâtre musical, le Nouveau théâtre d'Angers, le Centre national de danse contemporaine, le Théâtre régional des Pays de la Loire, le Festival d'Anjou, and the Loire Philharmonic Orchestra.
