Aisawan Thipphaya-at Pavillion

The first palace here at the site along the Chao Phraya was constructed in the 17th century. The current palace grounds with its eclectic assortment of structures dates from the reign of King Chulalongkorn (1868 - 1919). Ironically the only building in Thai style is the temple in the middle of the lake!

I have been to Bang Pa-in many times but have only visited the Summer Palace once......
