Airlines: Thai is the way to go :)

    Category: Airplane
Getting TO/AROUND: We missed our connection in Hong Kong, so Cathay Pacific put us on a Thai airlines flight to BKK. No complaints! Good room between rows. Excellent service. We were on one of their new 747s.

Tuk-tuks: 3 wheels and a container of propane!

Getting TO/AROUND: Apparently the tuk-tuks in Bangkok have been reconfigured to run on propane -- we were told the tank was right under the passenger seat! So I waited for a more traditional tuk-tuk ride in Phnom Penh!

Getting TO/AROUND: The Chao Praya River offers transportation relief from the slow and chaotic road traffic in Bangkok.
    .
There are many kinds of boat services, from the express boats, to the boats belonging to the various luxury hotels along the river to the little river-taxis that you can hire yourself.

Getting TO/AROUND: If you are near one of the stops on the BTS "Sky Train" you are in luck. It is efficient, clean, fast and best of all ABOVE Bangkok traffic!

Getting TO/AROUND: The long-tail boat is a Bangkok institution. It refers to the distance between the body of the motor and the rotor in the water. These are available for hire along the river. For sure bargain on the price. It's a great way for a small group of people to see the river and the canals or "klongs"
